Personal Data: We collect personal data from you when you voluntarily choose to register with CheckMyPeople.com. We use the personal data that we collect to provide background checks and document domestic employee work history, and as otherwise set forth in this Privacy Policy and in our Terms of Service. Examples of personal data may include, but are not limited to, first name, last name, business name and information, address, email address, telephone number, birth date, national identification number, employment history, professional and personal assessments of domestic employees, location, IP address, billing and credit card information, as well as any other non-public information that may be associated with or linked to any of the foregoing data.
We do not require personal information beyond the National Identification Number (NIN) when you use the Identity Verification Services (IVS) for the verification of NIN, except for billing and credit card information, when payment is made to a third party. These billing and bank card information are not retained on our platform.
Third Party Personal Data: We may also collect personal data from you about certain third parties (e.g., employers may provide information about employees, and from certain third parties about employees, like NIN verification data from NIMC, police report or court documentation. Use of Personal Data: CheckMyPeople uses the personal data you provide in a manner that is consistent with this Privacy Policy or with any applicable service-specific agreement. Customer Credit Card Information: CheckMyPeople does NOT keep a copy of your credit card number. Payment is made through a Third Party. We have no control over the payment processing, and request card or bank information at the point of transaction for the purposes of billing you and processing payment. This billing data belongs to you, and by utilizing the Service, you grant CheckMyPeople a license to use this data to bill you for services rendered.
